If you live within a floodplain throughout the Roanoke Valley, emergency officials urge you to take action now ahead of the rain and prepare in anticipation of flash flooding. If you do not have somewhere to go, the American Red Cross Shelter is up and operational at the Berglund Center Special Events Center.
