Public Involvement

This document constitutes the public involvement plan to be used by the Roanoke Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (RCNRHS) and City of Roanoke to apprise the general public on progress of performing environmental cleanup activities on the project and to solicit input on how those activities are performed.

Community involvement is vital to the success of the project, and the RCNRHS is committed to providing meaningful public involvement opportunities throughout the process.

This Public Involvement Plan (PDF) lays out activities designed to ensure that members of the public get the information they want, have opportunities to provide input to decisions that could have long-term effects on their communities, and feel confident that their views are considered in project decisions. This plan is intended to be a flexible document that can be revised based on the needs of the public for information and input.
