  1. Evans Paint

    The Former Evans Paint facility is an approximately 1.5 acre parcel that was initially platted for residential use in the early 1900s. The property was subsequently used by a coal distributor, oil distributor, and finally by a paint manufacturer.

  2. Former Virginia Scrap Property

    Brownfield redevelopment work in the 110-acre South Jefferson Redevelopment Area (SJRA) has been underway for several years with efforts focused on the 25-acre Riverside Center for Research and Technology (RCRT).

  3. Rail Corridor Revitalization Area

    The City was awarded a $175,000 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Area-Wide Planning Pilot Program grant for Roanoke's "Rail Corridor Planning Area" in 2010.

  4. Riverside Center

    The Riverside Center for Research and Technology is a 23-acre portion of the South Jefferson Redevelopment Area.

  5. Virginian Railway Station

    The Virginian Station property is located in the 110-acre South Jefferson Redevelopment Area (SJRA) where brownfield redevelopment has been underway for several years.

  6. Williamson Road Node Study

    The project location was selected from several locations identified along Williamson Road for node development by the Williamson Road Area Plan.
